The Super Star Scholars

Today we ate cinnamon toast crunch for breakfast and it was DELICIOUS! In reading results we continue to play vocabulary board games. We also did our cause and effect paper for the play. After reading results we did our vocabulary then when we finish that we read Lunch Money. After that we read independently and we had to write a letter to Ms. Dahl and Ms. Baker about what we had read. Once our letters were finished we went to recess, lunch and art. Next was math do now and math centers. It was fun because we had a lot of stuff to do and we learned a lot about math words. Science/Inquiry was after Math. In inquiry we watched a video about the layers of the Earth. Then when we went to our seat we had to create the layers of the Earth: inner core, outer core, mantle, and the crust. We then labeled the areas and had to make a diagram.Once we were finished it was the end of the day!

  3. Mr. B: Some of the words we learned are: characteristic, odd, even, repeated addition, dime, coin, regroup, array, and cabinet were some of the words we learned in math that day. One of our centers is just for building our speed at remembering what math vocabulary words mean.

Ms. Day: We would love to share our Readers notebook entries with you. Ms. Dahl said she will start taking pictures of more of our student work and showing it to everyone on here this week!
